~History~ |
| It was on April 1st, 1943, that Mr. Gerard Maheu, the founder bought
the feed mill. It was located on the corner of Rang 5 in St-Louis-de-Gonzague in the south western part of Quebec. Several modifications and additions have been done over the years, thus permitting to always respond better to our customers needs throughout Quebec, Ontario and the United States. The Maheu family, Huguette, Michel and Richard realize the importance of having a reliable team. Throughout the years, the staff have been aware of the growing needs of the customers which in turn explains the success of the company. |

As of now, the company Gerard Maheu inc. employs 38 people, runs 2 feed mills (Gerard Maheu Inc. and Dundee Feeds) and a fertilizer plant. |

~Products~ |
Gerard Maheu inc. has been a Shur-Gain franchise since 1947. The fabrication
of personalized supplements and minerals for dairy production has been in fonction since 1994. We offer a large
range of products for all other zootechnical productions.
Fertilizer
Gerard Maheu Inc. is a manufacturer of synAgri fertilizer. We also
provide personalized mixtures as well as incorporating herbicides in the fertilizer. We have a complete range of
liquid fertilizer and anhydrous ammonia. We also offer a lime stone application service.
Seeds and herbicides

We offer all categories of registered herbicides that exist on the market. A follow up is done with our qualified personnel respecting all environmental standards.
We have a multitude of products available such as water softener salt, insecticides, animal shampoo, food additives, hay preservatives, baler twine, wrapping plastic for round and square bales and much more.

Feed and supplements
There is a wide array of services available. The nutrition department is supported by the Perfo-Lact and the I.P.F. for dairy cattle through Shur-Gain. Also available is measuring heifers, body score, forage sampling and analysis, personalized mineral, supplement and feed manufacturing. This is all supported by the team of technicians including:

Gerard Maheu Inc. also has at your disposition a service of soil sampling and analysis. A technical follow up is done as well as a fertilization program, herbicide application and seed choice. Also available through the company is liquid nitrogen and anhydrous ammonia, with tanks and applicators. There is also the service of lime spreading and delivery of fertilizer.
