Gérard Maheu Inc. feed mills have more than 75 years of experience in the agri-food sector. Our three locations are specialized in the production and distribution of animal feeds and agricultural products. Our experienced team is made up of agronomists and technicians who can answer any question our clients may have. Our main goal is the profitability of each one of our customers!
We are Shur-Gain and Synagri franchisees in addition to distributing products for several other suppliers such as Dow Seeds, Semican, Lallemand/Biotal and other providers of crop protection products.
ANIMAL NUTRITION | BASED ON NUTRECO-SHUR-GAIN RESEARCH
With the support of the Shur-Gain team, made up mainly of agronomists, technologists and nutritionists, our goal is to serve you better by allowing you to take full advantage of the knowledge stemming from the Shur-Gain Research Farm. In addition, the majority of our products are manufactured locally, which is highly favorable to the local economy!
DAIRY CATTLE
One of our specialties is feed manufacturing for dairy cattle! Our technicians' know-how and their experience in this field will exceed your expectations! We offer a quality testing laboratory service to evaluate forage and identify your animals’ specific needs. Our tools and computerized feed programs will maximize the production of your dairy cattle. By meeting various needs such as amino acids, carbohydrates and minerals, we ensure the optimal performance of your herd.

CROP PRODUCTION | FIELD CROPS
Our main goal is the highest profitability of each one of our clients. Gérard Maheu feed mills meet this objective by offering customized programs and products based on our soil and foliar analyses. We also provide customers great flexibility by manufacturing our own fertilizers on site, while always complying with environmental standards.
FERTILIZATION
Our company specializes in fertilizer manufacturing, whether in liquid or granular form, in bags or in bulk, standard or customized to our clients’ needs. Our fertilizer formulation promotes the availability of nutrients in the soil, thus contributing to crop growth and improving yields.
Thanks to our fertilizer spreaders and liquid fertilizer applicators we can deliver our products across Southwestern Quebec, Eastern Ontario, and the Northeastern United States.
CROP PROTECTION & HEALTH
We offer a vast array of products to ensure the protection and health of your crops, including herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, and foliar fertilizers. Our consultants can recommend a range of products that, when used sensibly, will give you optimal control over your crops with due respect for the environment.
SEED
Our experts in crop production have extensive knowledge of corn, soybean, wheat, barley, oats and forage seed. Our technicians have years of experience in this field and can recommend what’s right for you!
Our feed mills distribute products from the following seed providers: Dow Seeds, Pedigrain and Semican.
LABORATORY SERVICES
If you wish to increase crop production and crop yield, soil analysis is essential to properly build an adequate fertilization program. We offer comprehensive soil, manure and foliar analysis services to better serve your needs.
AEFP PROGRAM
The Agro-Environmental Fertilizing Plan (AEFP) is an integrated approach that creates a link between soil and livestock production. Its objective is to protect the environment and, more importantly, to preserve soil and water quality in the province of Quebec. Our team works with an external firm which can help make proper recommendations regarding the use of certain fertilizing materials and suggest those that are best suited to your business and your fields' history.
CUSTOM WORK
We offer a custom spraying service as well as a lime spreading service. Whether applied by ground or by air, the use of state-of-the-art equipment is made available to our customers, which promotes the strong and steady growth of your crops and optimizes yields.
